Day 01: Cochin
On arrival in Cochin airport and transfer to your hotel after noon tour of Fort Cochin visiting Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets evening watch the performance of Kathakali Dance show – traditional dance of Kerala overnight in Cochin
Day 02: Cochin – Thettakkad
After breakfast drive to Thettakkad enroute visiting Kodanad Elephant Camp, on arrival in Thettakkad check into your resort, after noon visit Thettakkad Bird sanctuary, here you can see the rare Mottled Wood Owl, Spot-bellied Eagle Owl, Malayan Night Heron, Sri Lanka Frogmouth, Rusty-tailed Flycatcher, Grey-headed Bulbul and the Nilgiri Wood Pigeon. Overnight in Thettakkad
Day 03: Thettakkad
Morning short walk in the villages to see the country side, plantations of rubber and spices of Kerala after noon visiting Thettakkad Bird Sanctuary overnight in Thettakkad
Day 04: Thettakkad – Munnar
After breakfast drive to Munnar check into your resort evening enjoy campfire, barbeque and dinner. Overnight in Munnar
Day 05: Munnar
Day visiting Eravikulam National Park – home for endangered nilgiri thar, Mattupatti dam, Tea Museum and explore the Tea Plantations that spread as green carpet over the mountains. Overnight in Munnar
Day 06: Munnar - Thekkady
After breakfast drive to Thekkady that lies on the shades of Cardamom hills on arrival in Thekkady check into your hotel after noon take elephant safari, activities include, bathing of elephant, feeding and safari overnight in Thekkady
Day 07: Thekkady
After breakfast tour of Periyar Tiger Trail, starts at 09.00am conducted by conducted by a team of poachers who turned protectors of the forests. The team members are hardy and dependable with an intimate knowledge of the forest terrain. You will be accompanied by 5 guides and 2 forest officials, normally 20 to 35 kms. of trekking distance will be covered, depending on the route chosen. During the programme You may have a chance to encounter much indigenous wildlife like Nilgiri langur, giant squirrel, elephant and who knows, even the tiger! The trek route passes through hills and valleys with a variety of tropical plants and wide-open spaces. Enroute vegetarian meals will be prepared and served and country tents will be pitched for holing up in the night. Trekking groups are accompanied by armed forest guards with good communication equipments, and geared to face any emergency situation. Remember to listen to unusual and strange adventure stories of the former poachers, now your guides and protectors of the forests. Overnight in the Tent (Inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary)
Day 08: Thekkady
After breakfast take bamboo rafting trip, this is a dawn to dusk range hiking and rafting programme through some of the richest forest tracts of Periyar Tiger Reserve. Starting at 8 am from the boat landing, a mosaic of habitats will be traversed before the party gets into rafts made of bamboos. The forests are rich in bird life and arboreal animals like giant squirrel and Nilgiri langur. The rafting is for about three hours and one gets a panoramic view of forest-clad hills reflected on the lake. Animals like elephant, gaur and sambar are sighted keeping close to the edges of the lake (spotting of animals is matter of luck). The team hitchhikes back to the boat landing by about 5 pm. An armed guard and 4 guides will accompany you and tea, snacks and packed lunch will be served enroute overnight in Thekkady
Day 09: Thekkady
Morning take bullock cart ride to visit the farmlands of a village hidden in the valley behind the mountains of Periyar Tiger Reserve in a bullock cart, the village is rich in bird diversity with vineyards, diverse agricultural crops of mangoes, tamarind, onions, sunflower, jasmine and a score of other vegetables, the village will take your breath away when the guides start to interpret how farming has woven delicately with the culture and the life of the natives after noon free overnight in Thekkady
Day 10: Thekkady – Kumarakom
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom – an enchanting backwater village board your houseboat at 12.30pm cruise into the canals of Vembanad Lake to witness the traditional Kerala village life remind unchanged for many years here your crew will prepare you delicious Kerala meal on board overnight in Houseboat
Day 11: Alleppey - Kovalam 160kms / 4hours
After breakfast disembark from the houseboat in Alleppey and drive to Kovalam check into your beach resort rest of the day free and relax in the beach overnight in Kovalam
Day 12 & 13: In Kovalam
Day free and relax in Kovalam overnight in Kovalam
Day 14: Trivandrum departure
Transfer to Trivandrum airport for your flight back home
